Planning a construction or renovation project means navigating a sequence of decisions — most of which require information you don't have yet. What can I build here? What does it cost? Is it allowed? What do I show the contractor?
InQI's IQ Agents are purpose-built to answer those questions at each stage of the process — before you've committed to a design, before you've hired anyone, and before you've spent money on professional services that might tell you the answer is "no."
What IQ Agents Are
IQ Agents are specialized AI tools, each focused on a specific part of the property and construction workflow. They share your property data so you don't re-enter information at each step.
Site Intelligence — Analyzes your property's actual characteristics from your address and Assessor's Parcel Number (APN): setbacks, slopes, utility access, zoning restrictions, and buildable area. If your lot has a significant slope in one corner, this is where that becomes visible before you've drawn anything.
Codes.IQ — Automatically checks what your local zoning and building codes allow at your specific address. Instead of searching through municipal PDFs, you get plain-language answers: how close to the fence line you can build, what height limits apply, whether your proposed ADU meets current requirements.
Estimate.IQ — Generates early-stage cost estimates based on your proposed project and your specific location. Choosing a larger square footage or different materials updates the estimate immediately. This isn't a national average — it's calibrated to your area.
InQuest and Impresarios — For more detailed design work, InQuest's specialized Impresarios handle specific tasks: generating concept alternatives for a landscaping project, producing a planting plan, checking water compliance for a California property, or assembling a complete client presentation binder.
How They Work Together
Enter your address. InQI assembles your property's site data automatically — parcel boundaries, zoning class, setbacks, existing structures.
From that single starting point, you can:
- Check what your codes allow (Codes.IQ)
- Get a cost range for what you're considering (Estimate.IQ)
- See concept options for a landscaping or outdoor project (InQuest)
- Generate a site plan for your permit application (AI Site Plan Generator)
Each agent works from the same property record, so you're not re-entering your address or explaining your project from scratch at each step.
Know your property before you hire anyone.

Before InQI, answering basic questions about a project — "can I build this," "what would it cost," "what do I show the contractor" — required separate research, calls to the building department, quotes from multiple contractors, and often paid professional time before a single shovel moved.
With IQ Agents, those answers are available before you've made any commitments. You come to a contractor conversation knowing what your codes allow and what a reasonable budget range looks like. That changes how those conversations go.
